Scott is the founder of KAP Project services. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science in 1989 and embarked on a career focused on project controls and project management. Working for companies like Fluor Daniel and Jacobs Engineering, he honed his project engineering, scheduling and cost control skills during the execution of large EPC projects before entering the turnaround world in 2001. While serving as a project controls consultant on major turnarounds he developed several planning and cost control software solutions. In 2005 he joined with some of the industry's leading project controls professionals to establish KAP Project Services. 

After almost 20 years managing industrial construction projects, Steve was called on to bring his project controls knowledge and management experience to the turnaround and outage arena.  Since 2002, Steve has continued to apply project management principles to improve turnaround readiness and predictability to what is often an unpredictable event.  Throughout his career, Steve has been an innovator of processes and tools designed to improve efficiency, quality and to achieve repeatable results.  While at KAP Project Services, he has led some of the most challenging projects, including plant-wide turnarounds and client consulting roles, while enhancing the tools and services that KAP provides.

After so many requests from customers to be able to acquire these tools for themselves, Steve is heading up the effort to bring these project improving tools to the industry.  His experience as project manager ensures the systems developed are rooted in sound project control fundamentals and always add value to the project.

Over 24 years of experience in construction, maintenance, turnaround, project planning and execution management in both chemical, oil and gas refining facilities. Jeff’s extensive turnaround experience and prior years as Turnaround Manager allows him to relate to, and focus on, customer needs throughout our product line. Since 2008, Jeff has been applying his knowledge of industry best practices and event readiness measures to create long term value to his customers.
